Descrizione e contenuti della prova

La prova di lingua inglese si svolge nei laboratori del CLA e dura circa 50 minuti.

Si fa presente che - in base al numero di iscritti alla prova - è possibile che si rendano necessari più turni in laboratorio.

The computer test is written, and divided into the following parts:

PART 1:

READING COMPREHENSION & VOCABULARY:

Part 1a) – Reading comprehension/related vocabulary – The student will read a text in English, and then answer a set of multiple-choice and/or ‘matching’ questions testing: comprehension skills, referents, and key vocabulary from the text.

Part 1b) – General vocabulary & phrasal verbs – A small set of questions (multiple choice, or gap fill) relating to English vocabulary in general (not necessarily from the text), especially: synonyms; word formation; conjunctions & linkers; common phrasal verbs.

PART 2:

GRAMMAR:

Part 2) – Grammar – A longer set of questions relating to various aspects of English grammar. The questions will be mostly multiple choice (or gap fill).
Here is a list of the main grammar topics that may be included on the test:

N.B.:
Students will be evaluated on a pass/fail basis ('idoneo'/'non idoneo'). An overall score equivalent to at least 18/30, or 60%, on the computer test is necessary to pass the test. The length of the test, & the time allowed to complete the test, may vary depending on possible changes to classroom regulations.
